Meet The Doctors

Dr. Ruth Ann Wilson hails originally from White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Dr. Wilson received her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Wilson developed an interest in alternative medicine and is a Certified Accupuncturist.  Dr. Wilson uses accupuncture to treat hip dysplasia, arthritis, feline urine spraying, kidney disease plus a vast array of other ailments. Dr. Wilson also has an interest in behavioral medicine.  Dr. Wilson is an active board member of the Pitman Rotary Club.  Her hobbies include hiking, horseback riding, skiing and ice skating.  Dr. Wilson resides in Pitman with her husband and two children.  Dr. Wilson has two cats.

Dr. Mary Van Kooy has practiced locally for over 20 years.  Her undergraduate degree in Animal Science was received at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.  She, along with Dr. Deborah Masso, opened Cross Keys Animal Hospital in 2001.  Dr. Van Kooy’s veterinary interests include internal medicine, dermatology and pathology.  Dr. Van Kooy resides in Sewell with her husband.  Her two children are currently attending college.  Dr. Van Kooy’s pets include two dogs, one cat and two corn snakes.

Dr. Deborah Masso received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1993. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.  Dr. Masso has been practicing medicine locally for over 12 years.  Dr. Masso, along with Dr. Van Kooy, opened Cross Keys Animal Hospital in 2001.  Dr. Masso is a member of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She participates in low cost spay and neuter programs for Save the Animals Foundation and Gloucester County Animal Shelter.  Dr. Masso resides in Salem County with her husband and four children.  Her pets include 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Dr. Mary Wilkes is the newest doctor addition to our staff. Dr. Wilkes received her degree of veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Wilkes area of interests include: critical care and emergency, anesthesia and neurology.  Dr. Wilkes is an adjunct at Stockton State College. She also volunteers her time for L.I.C.K., Life Improvement for Cats and Kittens, an animal rescue organization in Mays Landing, New Jersey.  Dr. Wilkes resides in New Jersey with her 4 cats and 2 dogs.
